After just days of riding this bike I am impressed. But this is comming from someone who hasn't riden a bike in years. But let me be the first to say that I am no baby with this bike. When I ride, I like to go all out, make my own trails and crash every now and then. The ride is comfortable, the gears change quite well, except I had some trouble when the bike was under a heavy stress load (mainly climbing a hill and trying to upshift). The brakes are V-brakes and have sufficient stopping power. The tires grip quite well, except for turning in heavy sand (but then again what tire does?) The seat came loose on me, but a simple tighen of the hex nut put it back into place. All in all I cannot complain thus far...but I will be sure to let you know if I have one. This bike is highly recommended to anyone just starting out in trail riding. Relativly cheap and well built, you can't go wrong.
