We started our journey at the Pinebush preserve at the entrace by the corner of New Karner Road and Old State Rd. (by SEFCU). The beginning trail is sandy which initally was a downer. The trial then splits off to the left, which will eventually take you to either the dump or through a nice trial through the woods. The trail through the woods was much wider and in all sincerity much more fun, although shorter.
If you continue straight, you will see a beaten path to the right or you may continue straight. The beaten path is very narrow and allows for a good tester of your abilities. The path that lies straight ahead will bring you down a lot of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs you can either go back up some more stairs or take a left, which coincidentally is the end of the "beaten path" from before. My suggestion is to take the beaten path, you will thank me and so will your bike.
There are alot of little trials that meander through thte preserve. All in all this is a great beginner ride that will help you get used to trail riding. Even if your not a beginner ride there are enough spots to investigate that will give you quite a challenge. But don't take my word for it, experience it for yourself.
